If you haven’t already, turn on the Speed Test app from the Apps Library panel. Instructions can be found here. Then, click the “Speed Test" app button on the OneLaunch dock. It should look like this:
To get started, click the "Check your Speed" button to begin measuring your internet speed. The test will take some time, after which it will show you your Internet Speed in Megabits per second (Mbps).
Below the Internet Speed number, you can click the “Show more info” button. This information may be helpful when talking to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). This shows:
Latency - how much time it takes for a data packet to travel from one designated point to another. Both are measured in milliseconds (ms).
- Unloaded - measures the round-trip time of a request when there is no other traffic present on a user's network to the ISP.
- Loaded - measures the round-trip time when there is traffic present on the network.
Upload - The speed at which your computer can upload files to the internet, measured in megabits per second.
Below the "Check your Speed" button on the Speed Test panel, there are quick links to articles for tips on speeding up your internet connection. Click on the tile and OneLaunch will open the article in your browser.
